Sprinkler head placement and layout

A main task of designing an irrigation system is the sprinkler layout. The shower head layout is to decide what kind of sprinklers are used and where exactly they are located. If I have a layout I put the flags in the company represented, where everyone will go to the head.

I continue to emphasize the sprinklers with flags of different colors for each area. For example, the front right spray have blue flags to any location where a spray headbe placed, a first spray zone have orange flags, and a rear rotor would have red flags.

Keep each area its own color will help you create the irrigation system so as not to mix the wrong heads on a given area sprinklers.

When you install the irrigation system of the lawn, remember, do not mix rotors and spray heads, as I said in my previous article. Rotors and water spray off at different rates, so you'll want to keep themseparately.

Rotor heads usually throw 30 meters and can be easily reduced if necessary. Spray can take anywhere from 4 feet to 18 feet depending on which way you die. Rotors can be set as a norm of about 25 degrees to 360 degrees radius. spray nozzles are in fixed or variable beam pattern. I try to stay with fixed nozzles (ie, 3:30 p.m., 10 / 4, 12, etc. .. full) because they have a better spray pattern and do not tend to like the airplane stuck Spray.

A 15 / 2 nozzles on a spray head, casts a beam of 15 feet of water in a 180 degree model. 15 / 4 a spray nozzle pours water into a model of 90 degrees. A nozzle 10 Half throws water a foot in a radius of 10 degrees model 180. A 10 launches of water in a 360-degree model (circle) with a diameter of 20 feet (still within 10 feet).

Spray large brands such as Hunter and Rain Bird is the model and size of> Jet launches survey to identify actual help. A 12 half added the inscription "12 H" indicates the model and pound at 180 degrees. Rain Bird also color-coded nozzles for faster identification of the nozzle when in the field. 15 are black, 12 are brown, 10 are blue, 8 are green (now discontinued), 4 friends are yellow. I'm just started doing this a few years, there are still many older jets, and all sizes are still black, so always make sureLook for the series.

Rotating nozzles are available in various GPM (gallons per minute) available. Common sizes are used in residential landscapes of 2.0 and 3.0 Rotor nozzles. You can find the occasional 1.5, 5.0 or even 6.0. but not too common for medium-sized shipyards. In order that the irrigation with the rotors, use 1.5 's for the rotor head, are irrigated is about 90 degrees, and use 3.0' s for the heads that are turning 180 degrees. Do not freak out if you do notGet this right ... Just try to be as close as possible.

Overall, the most important factor when making a lawn sprinkler head layout is to ensure that you are "head to head" coverage. This means that the water from one sprinkler reaches the next sprinkler head in the courtyard. This also ensures rainfall and twice the range, the sprinklers for the design very correct.

So remember a couple of key points in the design of the irrigation system of the lawn are:Be careful not to confuse, rotors and sprays. Make sure they are from, so you have double-layer or "butt" heads of coverage. Use different colored flags to represent the different areas, if the flag or of the press in which each sprinkler head to be done.
